The dynamic young American cellist Eugene Lifschitz has been performing in recital and as soloist with orchestras around the globe since the age of 10 with solo appearances in Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Germany, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Romania, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United States.

In 2019 Eugene Lifschitz won the position of 1st Solo Cello of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. Prior to that he held the position of 1st Solo Cello of the Staatstheater Kassel (2015-2019).
Eugene Lifschitz has performed as soloist with the San Jose Symphony (United States), the Fremont Symphony (United States), the Filarmonia Pitesti (Romania), the Orquesta Sinfonica Municipal de Piura (Peru), the Padova Symphony Orchestra (Italy), Tucumán Symphony (Argentina), Staatsorchester Kassel (Germany), Kharkov Conservatory Orchestra (Ukraine), and the San Francisco Concerto Orchestra with which he gave his orchestral debut at age 10.
Awards include in 2015: 1st Prize in the Soloists with Orchestra Competition (Premio Citta di Padova, Italy), in 2014: 1st Prize for the Strings Competition Padova (Premio Citta di Padova, Italy), and in 2007: 1st Prize in the Schlern International Music Festival Competition in Bolzano (Italy).
He has performed in recital with artists such as violist Paul Coletti; cellists Eric Kim, Wolfgang Boettcher, and Wen-Sinn Yang; clarinetist Julian Milkis; violinists Daniel Hope, Ingolf Turban, and Geza Hosszu-Legocky; and the pianists Robert Levin, Dong-Hyek Lim, and Alessandro Deljavan.
