French pianist, settled in Germany, my wish is to take you on a musical journey wherever you are, seated on the first row in a concert hall, or simply at home on the other side of the world. I will share here my projects, my events and my passion for piano, and for transmitting the most important feeling when I am playing for you: emotion.
Soon after she started learning piano in the city of La Rochelle, Myriam is awarded in both 1999 and 2000 with the First Prizes of Chamber Music and Piano from the Conservatory of Genevilliers (France). Continuing her musical studies with Muza Rubackyte in the Russian Conservatory Serge Rachmaninoff in Paris, she became her assistant, and teacher.
In April 2008, she is awarded with her Concert Graduation, with the “very good” distinction.
Myriam Barbaux-Cohen also worked in the attendant program in the conservatory of Centre de Paris, and composes a melody duo played during 2008 in a recital, focused on the twentieth century French repertoire (Ravel, Roussel, Poulenc, Satie and Joseph Kosma).
Myriam was involved in the Master Class of P.Devoyon (High School of Geneva), D. Cayuelas (Royal Conservatory of Madrid), M; Pétukov (Tchaïkovsky Conservatory of Moscow), T.Hakilla (Sibelius Institute of Helsinki), B.Rigutto (CNSMD of Paris), P.Frankl (Yale University), J.Rose (The State University of New-York), S. Risler (High School of Geneva), and regularly received precious advice from R. Pallottini (CNSMD of Paris).
She regularly played for official events at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, in Espace Saint-Sauveur in
Issy-les-Moulineaux. In september 2006, she is invited in the Hungarian Institute, along the Festival « Liszt, Artiste Roi», and in the Argentinian Foundation in Cité Universitaire de Paris.
In January 2009, Myriam was invited by the Claude Delvincourts Friends Association, for a tribute recital to the composer, in Salon Michelin, Paris. In march 2009, she gets involved in the “Carmina Burana” project from Carl Orff, two pianos
variation (in duo with Arianne Jacob, CRR of Paris), percussions and chors.
Myriam played an outdoor recital in the garden of the Montlouis-Sur-Loire city, within the framework of the “Excentrique” festival from Region Centre in june 2009, and becomes the first musician to participate in this event.
