Serban Mestecaneanu was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1969. His work is primarily involved with cultural projects, documentary, portraiture, and architecture.

Serban is often invited to photograph classical music festivals all over the world including in his native Romania, all parts of Europe, and beyond. Many of his works are shown in the black & white spectrum, while he is also known for his rich contrasting color images.

Serban has worked as a professional photographer since 2008 and has had exhibitions in Romania and around the world.

Serban Mestecaneanu has had five books of his photographs to date.
