Program Details

The Stravinsky Concerto in D was commissioned by the Basel Chamber Orchestra and premiered as part of their 70th Anniversary in 1946. Swiss conductor Marc-Olivier Oetterli studied the Concerto in D as a student in Bern, and chose the work to be part of a video profile piece, recorded by No-Te. Special thanks to Krystian Nowakowski. The Swiss baritone Marc-Olivier Oetterli, known for his “warm timbre” and “passionate stage presence” is also an established conductor. In 2022 he recorded his debut album as conductor with the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester (KKO) in Mannheim, Germany.

He has made a name for himself as an operatic baritone across Europe, performing more than 50 roles from the major operatic repertoire.
